Bio

Martian Horses is my solo project (Jose "Jimmy" Olivo) with occasional and much needed musical input from the following folks:
Nathan Shaw, Rachel Gonzales, Adam Byram, Mytila Slimp, members of Bologna Ponies, and Steven Hilferty.

I'm still working...and it's still all a little bit lo-fi, and definitely lo-budget. To make this music, I use the following equipment:

Eurorack UB1204-Pro, Casio Midi guitar, Fender Rhodes piano, piano, Jaymar toy piano, Korg Legacy, Prophet 5, Yamaha PSS-270, Farfisa Mini Compact, Ensoniq piano, Cool Edit Pro software, Cubase, six and twelve string acoustic Fender guitars, and the occasional slide whistle.

I would like to simultaneously release (self-publish) a demo, "ep" and complete album before the end of '06. As time progresses, I learn more and often times it is difficult to keep up with my own frenzied pace of writing in order to assure that I do satisfactory work. I'll just have to wait and see what comes out of all of this.
